Privacy Policy

JourneyFX is a travel currency calculator and trip ledger app. This privacy policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information We Do Not Collect

JourneyFX does not require an account, does not collect personal information, does not track users, and does not use advertising or analytics services.

Local App Data

The app may store information on your device, including calculator settings, saved ledger entries, currency preferences, card fee settings, and cached exchange-rate data. This information is stored locally on your device and is not sent to the developer.

Exchange Rates

JourneyFX uses Frankfurter to retrieve currency exchange rates. When exchange rates are refreshed, the app sends the currency codes needed for the rate lookup, such as EUR and USD. The app does not send your spending amounts, ledger labels, trip entries, or exported files to Frankfurter.

As with any internet request, Frankfurter may receive technical information such as your device’s IP address as part of ordinary network communication. The developer of JourneyFX does not receive or store this information.

Copying, Sharing, and Exporting

The app includes features that let you copy calculator logs or export ledger information. These actions are controlled by you. Exported files and copied text are handled by your device and any apps or services you choose to share them with.

Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored by JourneyFX remains on your device unless you delete it. You can delete ledger entries in the app. You can also remove app data by deleting the app from your device.

Children’s Privacy

JourneyFX is not designed to collect information from children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if the app’s features or data practices change. If changes are made, the updated policy will be posted at this same location with a new “Last updated” date.
